How Was My visit to Victoria Dam?
It was a warm and sunny day. I visited Kandy without any plans and called me Friend Let’s go somewhere. We got into Mahiyangana bus from Kandy town and got the ticket to Morgahamula (Last stop of public Transport) .
It will take about 1Hr – 1.30 Hr from Kandy to Moragahamula. The best way to go is on the bike which we ignored due to the hot climate during the time. Hence we are traveled by bus, we had to take a Tuk Tuk Ride from there which costs us Rs.800 (around US$12) and It took about 15 minutes ride.
You can see the reservoir on the halfway while you are Travelling from Moragahamula to Victoria dam. The view was so stunning so I stopped at a few places and took some pictures too. Once we reach the Dam, There will be some security checkup and we walked towards the viewpoint
There was a canteen and some bench will be there to sit and rest and also you can see the 3D maps of the dam and history about it – mini-museum of Victoria dam. Best for kids and adults .
Now You can watch Let’s Wander Sri Lanka – Victoria dam by Karuvadgraphy
The view is so magnificent and so beautiful as the reservoir is surrounded by Mountain Ranges while the lake will glow with vibrant teal and blue colors,
